Bonsecours Market

Description

Built in the 1840s by architect William Footner, this silver-domed building elegantly defines the panorama of Old Montreal.

It served briefly as a parliament in the nineteenth century, and was later used as a town hall, police station, library, weapons depot and ballroom.

In the 1990s, it was renovated and transformed into a posh shopping center.
