Founded in 1904 by Alfred Bessette, better known as Brother André, this place of pilgrimage is one of the most important sanctuaries in the world dedicated to Saint Joseph.
Located on a mountain slope on Mount Royal, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful emblems of the city of Montreal which attracts more than two million visitors each year, coming from all over the world.
With its imposing dome, its 155 meters high and its 283 steps, it enhances the Montreal landscape and is one of the most important places to visit.
